In 2009, attribute introduced our readers to the UHatin? name and “The Campaign to Neutralize Haters.” In 2010, the campaign is gaining even more momentum and is continuing to spread the word about love instead of hate.

I have always looked up to my older brother, there’s no question about it. So, it is no surprise that at four years old I found myself standing on one of our kitchen stools, looking in a cupboard for a pack of matches. You see, my brother had this wonderful idea of playing Indians (I guess today it would be called “Native Americans”) in our backyard. He wanted to dance around a fire, but I guess he never took into consideration that our backyard consisted of a small clearing surrounded by hundreds of trees, or that we were in the middle of dry season in Florida.

When people want to make something better, they usually find something to add to it. They will put an addition on their home, new tires on their car, or a couple more vegetables in their garden. But when it comes to yourself and your life, sometimes you do not have to bring in something new to make it better. Sometimes you are better because of the people who are already in your life, the things you have done or have yet to do, or even the way you feel. Because of this, Cathy Haffner and Ginny Hutchinson founded, Better Because, a place where people can “focus on positive ideas, [and] create their own words on why their life is a little bit better.”

Since first bursting out into the entertainment scene in September of 1994, the DC Cowboys, an all-male, gay, dance group, have continued to capture the attention of audiences in America and raise money for HIV/AIDS charities with their high energy, boot scooting routines. And, according to the founder, Kevin Platte, they will continue to do so just as long as people want to see them perform.
