To everything there is a season...a time in your life when something takes precedence and is important. If you are fortunate, such things come to fruition to help you learn and grow. If you are smart, you let them. When I first started attribute magazine I was fulfilling a dream that once lived on my teenage self’s bedroom closet amidst my cloud of quotes, magazine articles, words and photographs.
This experience has been nothing short of amazing as I have had the privilege of working with and interviewing some truly beautiful individuals.

Firstly, my apologies for the magazine being “dark” for the month of September and into this late date in October. Life on my end has been a flurry of activity and I am sure many of you can relate. Life is supposed to constantly evolve; it’s simply the nature of things. The seasons change, as do our tastes and desires. We are in this life, if we allow it, the Potter’s clay.
We allow change for many reasons; some come easy and some are truly hard. Our barriers, are broken down and a lot of the time a new version of ourselves comes to light. What we find within is sometimes scary, sometimes a delight...regardless, I always believe we are all the better for it.

Starting a new venture can be a frightening thing and is definitely not for the faint at heart or those who aren’t able to accept that not everyone is going to love what they are presenting. One must be passionate and steadfast in their endeavor, have faith and most importantly know it will reach someone, somewhere...

Happy Anniversary to attribute magazine! Yes indeedy, we are wrapping up our second year...and up until a couple weeks before July I forgot it was approaching...
Yes, life has been hectic. Travel, writing, work, writing, travel, work, writing...see a pattern?
In fact as I wrote this I was sitting at San Francisco International Airport. I had just wrapped up nearly two weeks in the area...and my red-eye flight back to the Florida heat was delayed (getting us out of there at nearly 1:00AM).

I will often see a movie despite it receiving bad reviews, as in my experience and in my (not so) esteemed, opinion those films usually turn out to be the better ones. But one thing I started to do as of late, was also giving films with really bad trailers a chance.
One such film was New in Town, starring Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick, Jr. When it came out a year or so ago, the trailer for this film, was pretty stinky and made the film appear to be pretty stupid. I found the DVD on the shelves at the library one afternoon and despite recalling the stinky trailer, picked it up to read the synopsis on the back; it actually seemed to have heart...and I like films with heart.
