Starting a new venture can be a frightening thing and is definitely not for the faint at heart or those who aren’t able to accept that not everyone is going to love what they are presenting. One must be passionate and steadfast in their endeavor, have faith and most importantly know it will reach someone, somewhere...

Happy Anniversary to attribute magazine! Yes indeedy, we are wrapping up our second year...and up until a couple weeks before July I forgot it was approaching...
Yes, life has been hectic. Travel, writing, work, writing, travel, work, writing...see a pattern?
In fact as I wrote this I was sitting at San Francisco International Airport. I had just wrapped up nearly two weeks in the area...and my red-eye flight back to the Florida heat was delayed (getting us out of there at nearly 1:00AM).

I will often see a movie despite it receiving bad reviews, as in my experience and in my (not so) esteemed, opinion those films usually turn out to be the better ones. But one thing I started to do as of late, was also giving films with really bad trailers a chance.
One such film was New in Town, starring Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick, Jr. When it came out a year or so ago, the trailer for this film, was pretty stinky and made the film appear to be pretty stupid. I found the DVD on the shelves at the library one afternoon and despite recalling the stinky trailer, picked it up to read the synopsis on the back; it actually seemed to have heart...and I like films with heart.

Please accept my apologies for this month’s edition being two days late. I have a legitimate reason: I am the only person who does the uploading and editing and I have been seriously ill. In fact, I just uploaded an essay I wrote about being sick...and how much I loathe it. I considered talking about it here but, didn’t think you’d appreciate being subjected to my whining and bad sense of humor...besides, I think there are so many more “newsworthy” items to defuse over... please do not see this as negative, I usually don’t let things of the world infiltrate my space here, but I am a journalist and sometimes, I just need to let ‘er rip (the list below is a parody)!

Update: I forgot to say Happy National Poetry Month. In celebration I uploaded a newer poem to my blog: http://www.attributemagazine.com/index/editorsbrain/?p=217 Enjoy! Now onto the LFE...
Not to sound cliché, but spring has sprung up from the roots and is rearing its head above the sun-kissed soil. Personally, I have been feeling new life emerging from within and have made changes in both my appearance and in my life, to reflect and respect it.
There are seasons of our life that we do not always understand. These can be times of introspection or times of complete extroversion; each has its own reason for taking hold of our spirits and doing whatever needs to be done, from the inside out or the outside in.
It is our job to just let it be, not question it, not fight it...just embrace whatever the plan may be and relish the outcome.
