Any degree of deceit, from the little white lie to the intended deceit, any deviation from honesty encourages regression of personal values. Honesty and integrity have become perishable skills…use it…or loose it. However, be prepared; to many ignorance offers a bliss that they would rather be left alone to enjoy. --J. Ferrer
Such irony in honesty. As a child we are taught to be honest…always tell the truth. But as an adult you find that honesty and the truth are very different. Understand this, if you tell the truth… You know, The “I love you’s” or the “It’s okay’s”… Then everything is cool, because the truth is appropriate, palatable and digestible. The truth is what they want to hear. But the moment you are honest and your response is ugly… exposes the outdated or challenging to the status quo… all hell breaks loose. Honesty can be a burden once you see how the truth has been tainted… morality and ethics have afforded few an acquaintance. So until they take the irony out of honesty I will keep telling you the truth… Because I know that is exactly what you want to hear.
