Simply Oblivious

-Questions from the broken hearted

Perhaps you can tell me…

What kind of sensation does it bring?

To rip and tear to break and sting a heart.

Not just any, my heart

To you this gift was given

More than a woman you are my companion…

I knew u as living.

Perhaps you can tell me…

What kind of sensation does it bring?

To look at a man who is pouring

A man who is storming

His mind his time and his love

On you and around you.

Yet you…

Calm and nonchalant manage not to get wet.

How evasive you are?

Hearts once bound together

Yet you leave without a scar.

Is this my reward?

For thrusting myself forward…

Eyes closed and arms widespread…

I asked for nothing when into love I dove.

However you’ve decided you’ve had enough…

You don’t want to swim with me anymore.

___________

Perhaps you can tell me…

What kind of sensation does it bring?

To feel nothing.

Perhaps you can tell me…

Does your heart hurt when it beats?

At night do you even sleep?

I’m sure you do…its just not with me anymore.
